Who We Are

Who We Are

X

Here at The Psychology & Consultancy Group we are committed to our philosophy of Connecting, Acceptance and Growth to provide collaborative, meaningful and non-judgemental psychological services as a way forward for learning, change and hope.

Psychologists have expertise in how people think, feel, and behave.

We focus on using evidence-based interventions and assessments to help individuals and families to manage their concerns related to mental health, behaviour, development, interactions with others, regulation, and learning.

Our interventions and assessments are individualised so that we cater to your personal needs and goals.

We value connecting with people to help them gain a greater understanding of themselves and develop skills to grow and reach their full potential. It is why we thrive on working with people, their families, and support networks to assist them in discovering their own Light Bulb Moments and to inspire change.

What might that change look like? Finding new perspectives, embracing the chance to refocus, or relishing the space for self-discovery.

Through our values and our services, we are dedicated to supporting mental health, particularly across regional, rural, and remote Australia.

Philippa Scott

Clinical Psychologist and Director

Hi, my name is Philippa! I’m a Clinical Psychologist and Director at The Psychology & Consultancy Group. I have experience working with a broad range of mental health concerns with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I began my career in paediatric psychology and have continuously developed my assessment skills over the years. I’m originally from a farm in North Western NSW and completed high school in Dubbo. I have strong connections to regional, rural and remote communities. Nick Hurford

Registered Psychologist and Director

Hi, I’m Nick! I’m a Registered Psychologist, Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner and Director at The Psychology & Consultancy Group. A deep appreciation of the Western Plains has seen me living in the region for over 20 years. My Psychological practice is supported by my portfolio of experience as an educator; having taught Kindergarten through to HSC English, and my time as a sessional lecturer at Charles Sturt University. In my years of Psychological service I have worked with infants, children, adolescents, their carers, adults, disability services, non-government organisations, private practice and other stakeholder organisations in mental health, private enterprise and education. With this foundation, I apply Psychology to a variety of settings through consultation, assessment, intervention, report writing, behaviour support and training across the region.

In private practice, I offer a broad range of Psychological services that include work with NDIS Participants, Workers Compensation clients, and private clients, as well as developing and delivering workplace training and workshops. I have a particular interest in psychometric testing, assessment, behaviour support, report writing, consultation, and workplace culture. I use a wide range of tools and resources to support each person or corporate client, tailored to their individual needs in a holistic way.

Camilla Cullenward

Provisional Psychologist

Hi, I'm Camilla! I'm a Provisional Psychologist. I grew up on a farm near Coonamble, spending my high school years in the Central West.

I originally studied psychology at ANU in Canberra directly after completing school, followed by over a decade working for the federal government in a range of community development programs. My husband and I moved to Dubbo when we started our family in 2010 and now have four children.

After working and juggling motherhood, I felt a strong desire to return to the field of psychology, so completed my Postgraduate studies in Psychology remotely via CSU.

I am developing my skills across a range of psychological strategies and techniques with an open mind, and look forward to assisting you to achieve meaningful and positive outcomes from our time and work together.
